　MUSEの三枚目になるアルバムがこの『Absolution』。日本版はCCCDででているし、普通にUS版もUK版もある。けれど、買うなら絶対にこのDVD付UK版がオススメ。このDVDには『Absolution』制作とPV制作などがドキュメンタリーとして収められている。

　DVD付をオススメする理由は、このDVDを見る事によって、どのように『Absolution』が創られたのかを知ることができるから。一聴して激しさが増したように感じられるアルバムだが、このDVDを見ていない人と見た人では感想が変わってきそうだ。個人的にはなぜ日本版でDVD付を発売しないのか理解に苦しむ。このDVDの"舞台裏的"ドキュメンタリーを撮影しているのはマットとドムのフロアメイトのトム。馴染みの彼のおかげでメンバーのイロイロな表情を見れるのもファンには嬉しいだろう。すでにシングルカットされている『Time Is Running Out』『Stockholm　Syndrome』のPV撮影風景も収められている。

　荘厳で耽美的な恍惚感と破壊的な激しさが独特のMUSE世界。それはこの『Absolution』でも健在である。MUSE的世界観のひろがりと、曲のクオリティーは前２作品とは比べられないほどのものがあり、メンバーの成長と、作品作りの精巧さを感じ取れるだろう。聴くほどに病み付きになるアルバムではないだろうか?

捨て曲一切ナシ！　久々にアタリのアルバムです。
これを聞いて、音楽は自由にやっていいんだなぁとつくづく思いました。ホントに自由なアルバム。心の中のモノを全て開放してくれます。

サマソニで見て以来　彼らのとりこです。なぜ今まで聞かなかったのか、自分が恥ずかしいです…　四枚アルバムが出ていますが、月並みですがやっぱりこれが一番名盤です。Hysteriaのイントロのベース音とか鳥肌ものです。とにかく　いろいろな音楽を吸収して、museというジャンルを作っちゃっている感じです。stockholm syndromeや、time for running outなど名曲だらけ、気に入った方はぜひDVDも見てほしいです。彼らはほんとにライブがすごい。３ピースであの音出すのはあれは反則です。ニルバーナとか、レイジとかにも肩が並べられるぐらいのすごいバンドだと思います。
