多分ポリティカルなバンドの中では過去に例がない程に評価されたRage Against The Machine。
ミクスチャー・ロックなどが流行っていた時代性もあったかもしれませんが、再結成ライブの盛り上がりようを見てわかるように、バンドの持つ強い魅力によって高く評価された事は疑いようの無い事だと思います。


その事実をさらに印象付けるとても良いライブCDだと思います。
最初の歓声から異常な盛り上がりが伝わってきます。(このライブのチケットは数分で売り切れたそう。)
選曲も完全にベストであり、文句なしです。
M4からM5の繋がりは特に格好良いです。



実はアメリカでは、このCDは発売が9・11直後だった事もあり、あまり売れなかったそうです。
再結成もした事ですし、再評価されるべき作品だと思います。

リアルタイムで聴いてない所詮ガキですが、初めてレイジを聴いたのがこれでした。
最初の印象は「外国にはこんなバンドがいるんだ！」と一人興奮してました。
当時僕はまったくといっていいほど知識がなく、日本とは違う！
とひたすら想ってました。このバンドはまぁ俗にいうミクスチャー、ラップメタル、といったところですかね。1回ライヴ見たかった・・・

今年07年、コーチェラフェスで復活が決定！嬉しい限りです。このラストライブ盤でも迫力は十分伝わってきますが、やっぱり生で見たいです。ぜひ日本に来て欲しい。このCDでも、まさに魂を削って歌っているような感じがします。レイジをぱくったようなバンドは山のようにいますが、到底本家本元にはかないません。とにかく大音量で聞いてください！鳥肌立ちますよ。
