1903年、W.C.ハンディが「メンフィス・ブルース」を楽譜化した事を嚆矢として、2003年に偉大な一つの音楽がアニバーサリーを迎えました。

当サントラはその祝典的事業でもある「THE　BLUES　Movie　Project」の一環として製作された中で最も味のあるドキュメンタリーのサントラです。

ヴィム＝ベンダースが独特の手腕で古今のブルースを煎じ詰め、抽出されたエッセンスを気の置けない仲間たちと回し飲みしていくかのような作品で、コアなファンには堪えられないでしょう。

でも本当はブルースなんて聴いたこともない、聴こうと思ったこともないという人に手にとってもらいたい作品なのです。

家に1枚ありますと、何度か手にとって聴く日があるでしょう。
そしていつか不意に心が共鳴する時が来ると思います。

BLUESってそういうものなんです。
