彼らの音楽を一言で表すなら「幻想的」。まるでメルヘンの世界から飛び出してきたかのように美しく、少しクラシカルで不思議なメロディを奏でてくれます。
ボーカルのヨーナスのやわらかく透き通った声もバンドの音楽の透明感をより引き立ててます。
妖精さんたちが作った音楽といわれてもそうかなと思ってしまうような(笑)今までにはなかった感じの音楽。意表つかれまくりでした。私にとっては新種の癒し系ミュージックってな感じです。

ちなみにこのアルバムタイトルは「friend(友達)」と「stranger(見知らぬ人)」をあわせた造語で「普段聞きなれた音楽ではないけど“なんじゃこりゃ”という音楽でもない」「始めて会うんだけどどこか親しみをおぼえてしまう」っていう意味があるそうです。うまいこと言うなぁ。。このアルバムを聞くとたしかにこのアルバムにはこれしかないってくらいぴったり。

最後に。彼らの音楽、いちどはまると抜け出せなくなりそうなくらい中毒性が強いです。なんかむしょうに聞きたくなってしまう。でもこの中毒は一度は経験するべき。ＭＥＷワールドに浸りまくって心を洗ってくださいナ。

このバンドにここまで骨太なグルーヴを紡ぎ出せるなんて思わなかた。それだけじゃない。迷路を行くような、まさに映画を見ているような曲の展開を、全体的に繊細で、残酷な、優しいメランコリーな雰囲気で包み込んでいる。

一曲目の「Am I Wry No?」のイントロからMEWの凄さがわかる。繊細で綺麗なギターリフに、骨太で腹に響くベース。まさにMEWというバンド名そのもの（ソフトで丸い響きをしているのに「檻に閉じ込める」などという邪悪な意味合いを含んでいるのでこのバンド名にしたらしい）
これからどんな成長を遂げていくのか、一番楽しみなバンドだ。

このアルバムの1曲目、[Am I Wry? No]これヤバいっすね！
体の中を電気が走るような痛快なメロディ！透き通ったボーカル。
たまんないっすね！アルバムの流れもいいですし、買わなきゃ損ですよ！
