「~らしさ」なんて定義、厳密に言えば何の意味もありません。
時間は流れゆくし、人もずっと同じ場所にはとどまれないから。

だから、アーティスト自身が気持ち良く思えるスタンスを貫いて
くれたら、たとえ少しづつ変わっていったとしても、ファンとして
本望です。

でも、あえて言えば、この作品はつねに“進化し続けている
GARNET CROWらしい”、スバラシイ作品です。

シングル曲もたくさん収録されていますが、アルバムのために
用意された曲たちも、シングル曲に負けず劣らずだったりとか、
時には、シングルカットされないのが不思議な気がするような
曲もあり、非常にバラエティー豊富な1枚ですので、興味のある
方には、ぜひオススメしたい1枚です。

結論から言うと、やっぱりGARNET。らしさ100%の曲あり、驚くほど意外なアレンジあり。当初収録予定だった「Float World」が欠番になったのが残念だったけれど、11月に発売されて以来、超ヘビーローテーションで毎日聴きまくってます。

シングルカットされないのが不思議なほどの＃1から始まり、怒涛のシングルラッシュに圧倒。そして中村由利曰く今回いちばんのお気に入りという＃6では、淡々として謎めいた3拍子のリズムに、2ndアルバムの人気曲「pray」をふと思い出しました。続く＃7は、爽やかで軽快なのにどこか翳りのあるイントロにすべて持ってかれた感じ。メロ・アレンジともにGARNET18番の余裕を思わせる逸品です。「Whiteout」系のハードな曲想の＃10、飛びぬけて明るい＃11、ラストを飾るサイバーポップな＃12まで、聴けば聴くほど沁み込んでくる佳曲ぞろい。飽きないです。

アコギとピアノから始まる1曲目から、GARNET度満点の作品です。
前作同様、#2~#5とシングル曲を固めてしまったのが
ファンの中では賛否両論となりそうだが、私は賛成派です。
音楽が、すんなりと流れていくのがすごく良く分かる曲順で、
どこに文句をつけてよいのかすら分からないような…。

ちなみに、一部のファンの中では既に

#6、#7、#9がお気に入りとしてリストアップされてきています。
私もそれには多分に共感すると事です。
個人的に、#2~#3への流れがたまらなく好き…。

話は少し変わりますが、そもそもアルバムとは、
1枚目がある程度売れれば、2枚目もその勢いで売れるらしいです。
つまり、そのアーティストが本物かどうかは、

3枚目にかかっているという話を聞いた事があります。
今回で3枚目となるGARNET CROWですが、これを聴けば
彼女らが本物だ、という事が分かるはずです。

どこに出しても恥ずかしくない一枚！
