サードシングルとしてもヒットした「きみをつれていく」を初めて聴いた時、正直、心を持っていかれる思いでした。暗闇のなかにあるような沈んだ歌詞の世界と筒美京平によるマイナー的なメロディーラインがけなげにもとても美しい物語を誕生させていて安倍麻美の歌唱も何処か悟ったような感じでとても深い。本当はこの曲の作者、そして歌唱者はそんなにも思い入れを強くせずに作り上げ歌い上げたのかもしれないが、聴く側にしてみたらかなり心に入ってくる。軽く衝撃を受けて感動の意味を知りました。ただ単に、「アイドルの曲」として扱ってほしくないし、忘れてほしくない一曲だと思います。
