初期の曲が中心とはいえ、けっこうGolden・Bestとダブっているので、Golden・Bestと合わせてコレクションするという意味での姉妹編とは考えない方が良いと思います。初期の名曲集に新しいヒット曲なども加えた手頃な一枚とみればそれなりの構成といえますが、ポリドール時代中心の編集物は他にも出ていますからよく比較検討することをお勧めします。

私が初めて陽水を聴いたのは「つめたい部屋の中の世界地図」でした。
なんて綺麗な声なんだろうと魅了されました。
このベスト盤には「いつのまにか少女は」「能古島の片想い」「帰れない二人」「神無月にかこまれて」・・・
など特に好きな曲が入っているので、一気に青春時代に引き戻されてしまいました。

しまい込んだＬＰ盤のジャケットが目に浮かびます。

ボーナストラックの｢夏の終わりのハーモ二ー」も嬉しいです。
この季節にぴったりの、大人がちょっぴり切なくなる素敵な一枚です。

今の”元気ですか~”おじさんのイメージ以前の、フォークの帝王と呼ばれマスメディアに一切出ていなかった頃のセンチメンタルなイメージだった頃の陽水を概観するにふさわしいベスト盤。

「人生が二度あれば」以外は多くの有名曲がフォローされている上、「帰れない二人」「能古島の片想い」「いつのまにか少女は」等シングルカットされていない名曲も入っていて、ポリドール時代の陽水を新しい世代に知らせる役目も果たす事になるだろう。

陽水は詞と曲をとりあえず一緒につくることが多く「つめたい部屋の世界地図」は当初♪アメリカフランスオーストラリア、一人で行く時は~、という歌詞だったそうだ。
