そのテクニックの卓絶さ故に、超絶技巧、華麗なるテクニック、、などの
形容詞がつきがちなパコですが、年を追う毎に彼の精神世界が見事に
表現されてきているような気がします。

このCDもある意味では回帰、とでも言うべきでしょうか。
スパニッシュ特有のリズム、ハンドクラッパーの叩き出す波、
にのってパコのギターは歌います。ある時は悲しみに、またある時は
喜びに。
そしてきっとその周りでは女性が、男性が、年齢層も様々に
踊っているのでしょう。

今まで常に革新し、挑戦し続けてきたパコ。なかなか新譜が出ないのが
ファンとしてはもどかしく、また待ち遠しいのですが、とにかくどの
アルバムも全て、その完成度の高さには驚かされます。
このアルバムも、もちろん！待ちに待った甲斐がありました。

２００４年、前作「ルシア」から５年の歳月を経て
待ちに待った新作が発表された。それにしても
いつもながらファンをどぎまぎさせるスローペースだ。

パコ･デ･ルシア。現在世界最高のギタリストといっていいだろう。
基本はフラメンコにあるが様々な音楽のエッセンスを取り入れ
彼独自の音楽世界を作り上げている。
また、その点が伝統的なフラメンコとは少々異質な点でもある。

最初の話に戻る。毎作品絶賛されるのだが、
インターバルが長いことで有名で、今回も５年待たされた。
しかし、毎回待った甲斐のある充実した作品を送り届けてくれる。

今回のテーマは、「フィエスタ」。「祭り」を意味するこの言葉は、
ホームパーティーのようなごく小さい集いにも用いられる。

パコ･デ･ルシアがギターを抱え、パーカッションのピラーニャと
たった２人を軸とした音楽が繰り広げられる。
しかしその軸に、カンタ(歌)とパルマ(手拍子)が加わり、
トマティートを始め豪華なゲスト陣の演奏が加わる。

正に音のホームパーティである。
親近感溢れる音作りは、まるですぐ手の届くところで
パコがギターを弾いているよう。

前作「ルシア」の深遠な世界から打って変わって
明るく真っ直ぐな音に回帰したパコの音。

やっぱり、いいなぁ、さすがー　と思います！！
若い時のように、超絶技巧でギターを弾きまくるという感じではなくなっています。
じっくり聴きたいCDです。
