Missy擁護の元、素晴らしい1stアルバムが出てから早くも3年。シーンの移り変わりの速さからいうとかなりご無沙汰な印象があるが、この2ndアルバムで彼女は再び濃厚なTweetワールドを繰り広げてくれた。1stではTimbalandプロデュースによるエキゾチックな楽曲にスポットが当たった観があるが、その1stもメローネス溢れるソウルフルな楽曲が大半を占めていた。今回はそれを更に押し進めた趣がある。ほんとにどの楽曲がため息が出るほど美しく優雅。1stシングルになった(2)からして耳に残るほど強力なフックを持ちながらもその肌触りはあくまでもセンシュアス。もうため息がでるほどかっこいい。完璧なまでにR&Bを感じさせる極上のバラード(3)、中世のヨーロッパを思わせるサウンドでありながらもあくまで"今"を感じさせる美しすぎるミッドバラード(5)、泣きたくなるほどしっとりした(6)、スケール感溢れる(8)、Groove感溢れる(9)、彼女の世界に引き込まれるようなクラシック(10)、Timbalandも関わった硬質でありながらメロディアスな(13)、"Intimate Friends"のフレーズが感動的なほどである(14)、最新型ビートでありながら華麗なアップ(15)など、ほんとに各楽曲のレベルがすさまじく高い。アルバムのまとまり感もすさまじいし、もうこれは完璧なまでの傑作。

ミッシー・エリオットによって送り出された、自作自演系実力派（しかも美人）シンガー、tweetのセカンドアルバムです。
30歳にてようやくデビューを果たしという苦労人でもあり、
前作ではどちらかといえば人生の痛みをかたるような、内省的な歌詞が多かったが、
今作では前作の成功でつかんだ現在の恵まれた環境の中で
彼女の才能が開花したともいえる素晴らしい楽曲が並ぶ。

彼女の特徴として、その美声とRB系には珍しくエレクトロニカっぽい音作りある。
また楽曲はオールドスクールからネオソウル、はてはラウンジ系からエレクトロニカまで幅広く彼女の洗練されたセンスによって折衷されている。
特にメランコリックな音と彼女の美声コーラスが交わったときは
他のブラックミュージックでは得がたい浮遊感が味わえます。

今作では歌唱、メロディー、コーラスアレンジ、トラックまで全て前作よりさらに繊細に向上、洗練されています。
また特にアップでは表現方法がさらに広がっていると思います。

比較するなら、amel larrieuxのセカンドと非常に構成が似ているが、
これまでRBの中で最も洗練されていたと思っていたamelの表現、視点をを
tweetは今作で、そのより自然に身近な手法で超えたのでは？
tweetにしか作りえない音楽を示した傑作。

2002年にTIMBALAND&MISSY ELLOTTコンビの全面プロデュースによってデビューした美人シンガー・ソングライターのTWEETの2作目。MISSYの友人としてデビューを前後してMISSYのソロ・アルバム、ホイットニー・ヒューストン、JA.RULE、MONICAなどの大物アーティストの作品でバッキング・ボーカルを務めてきた。それはMISSYの友情であり、絶対にプッシュしたい大型新人であるからに他ならない。
彼女のデビュー・アルバムはTIMBALANDの手がける内容という宣伝とは裏腹に、TIMBALAND一派のライターとTWEET本人による作曲、プロデュースした楽曲がほとんどだった。しかもその多くで数々の楽器まで演奏してしまうという優れたアーティストだ。

デビュー曲こそTIMBALANDの画期的な変態サウンドで、まるで包丁をまな板に叩きつけるかのようなドラムに、奇妙キテレツで不気味なコーラスが覆い、同じTIMBALAND一門の故アリーヤよりもベッタリとした声で緩やかに歌い続ける。だが、アルバムに収録されたほとんどはハイクウォリティなネオソウル系ナンバーばかりで、ミッシーが手がけるこの2作目もその延長線上にあっても良いと思う。
入るか入らないかは別としてレコーディングプロデューサーの中にはあのKANYE WESTも参加したこともあり、よりレトロなソウルアルバムに仕上がるはずだ。
