JAPAN時代の元祖ビジュアル系(?)だった頃からのファンとしては、
随分本格的なツウ好みのミュージシャンになったなー、というのが感想(勿論ソロも全て聴いてますw)。
極端に刈り込まれたアンビエントなトラックに、例のぬめーっとしたヴォーカルが乗っかる極私的な世界。
競演はなんとフリーインプロヴィセーション音楽の奇才デレク・ベイリー。しかもハマってるw。
今のメジャーでは制作不可能な唯我独尊の境地。

David Sylvian。常に実験的でこちらの想像を裏切り、超えたものを提供してくれる。彼の音楽はおそらく無国籍的なものなのだろうけど、僕は過去のどの作品にもいつも少しだけ、どこかの国の雰囲気（これはあくまでも雰囲気で意図されたものではないと思いますが）を感じていました。しかし本作は全然わからない。衝撃的です。強いて言えば前作の「dead Bees~」 中にも何曲かありましたが、日本の三味線を用いた長唄などに似たものを感じました。album 内では「late night shopping」がよく、クローネンバーグ的でニヤけてしまいました。

　心の機微に、同調するように。
　深く広く、音と声が染み渡っていく。
　胸の奥底にしまっておいたものを、掘り起こされるようで。
　じわじわと、気持ちを温める。
