スウェーデンのメロスピバンド、アクセンスターの2nd。2003作
最近頻出するこの手のバンドの中でも、メロディといい曲といい、いいものを持っているバンドだと思う。
この2ndでは、曲をコンパクトにまとめ、全体的に勢いのあるアルバムとなっていて、
ハイトーンでない中音域のマイルドなVoも、私としてはなかなか心地よくて良い。
曲によって、GAMMA RAY、SONATA ARCTICA、LOST HORIZONなどを思わせる雰囲気があり
1stよりも曲のバリエーションを増やしたはいいが、その分かえってオリジナリティを失くしている気もする。
このジャンルで個性云々を問うのも無粋な気もするが、もう一皮向けるには「勇気ある一歩」が必要。
演奏、アレンジにはすでに充分聴くべきクオリティがあるので。

~前作もそうだったけど、捨て曲なしで全曲気持ちのいい疾走ナンバーがそろっています
でもなぜか印象が薄いような…これだー！という強烈な曲が無いという気がします
買って損をした、とは絶対に思わないと思いますが、だからといって何をおいてもこ
のアルバムを買うべきかと問われたら、微妙~

そのかわりこのバンドは、絶対に外したアルバムは作らない気がします
多分これからも新作が出たら、発売日に買っちゃうと思う。~

デビューアルバムからある意味注目されていたアクセンスターのセカンド！
前作の延長上ながらそのレベルアップした楽曲には驚くばかり！
前作まで持っていたアクセンスターの魅力が一気に放出！
まず前作ではショボイ印象しかなかったヴォーカルが素晴らしい！
実力的に成長はしていないが、この声が北欧クササを１２０倍にしている！

つまりマグナス・ウインターワイルド（前作ではマグナス・エリクソン）の北欧クササ満開の声になるように、最大限に生かすように楽曲が作ってある！
この時点で北欧マニアは買いだが、当然ながらそれだけでは買いではないが、もちろん楽曲の方も素晴らしい！
ソコには新人独特のイモくささはない！

楽曲的にはソナタアークティカをお手本にしたようなサウンド！
ハイトーンを駆使するヴォーカルではないが、演奏陣は問題ないし、北欧マニアなら買いの一枚！
