この演奏、質的にも最高なものだと思います。ビーチボーイズ＝ブライアンウィルソンですが、ここでのコンサートの主役はカールウィルソン、アルジャーディーでしょう。
特にコーラスワーク、具体的には「Lady Lynda」のアカペラ部分は素晴らしい！！　この曲、楽曲にしては全盛期を過ぎた作品で、アルの作品なのですが、バッハの曲をイントロに、クオリティは高い曲なんです。これをなんとライブでやる！！　しかも本人たちも満足していたのでしょう、曲が終わったと思ったら、マクラブが「One more Time!」と叫び、なんとアカペラで再演！！　これは見ものです。

でも本当の見所は「Surfer Girl」で、デニスが「ブライアンウィルソン！」と叫び、サビを淡々と歌うブライアン、それを嬉しそうに見ているデニス（泣いているようにもみえます）、この映像をみるだけでも価値はあります。

あとは演奏が走り気味ですが、これがまたライブっぽくっていい！これはデニスのドラミングが走るためなんですが、「Darlin'」なんかはこれが効を奏し、カールもシャウトしてます。

歴史的名演奏、それはブライアン、デニス、カール、マーク、アル、ブルースが居るという意味もありますが、把??奏力も素晴らしく、彼らがライブバンドであるということが良く分かる1枚だと思います。

ビーチ・ボーイズの代表的ライブの映像版が
ようやく国内盤で発売されます。
全盛期の60年代と比べると勢いが薄れている時期ですが
オリジナル・メンバーでのビーチ・ボーイズおライブが楽しめる
貴重な映像です。

客寄せパンダ的にステージに連れてこられたという
ブライアンですが、この日は誕生日ということで比較的明るい顔です。

声もあまり出ずボロボロの状態であったことはわかりますが
それでも時々聞こえるボーカルや、太ったその姿はとても
愛嬌のあるもので、可愛らしく見えます。

このコンサートを見る限り、今現在生きているウィルソン兄弟が
ブライアンだけというのが信じられません。
カールの素晴らしいボーカルと今はいないという事実に涙を誘われます。

CDには収録されたHappyBirthdayBrianがカットされていることから
★一つ引かせていただきました。
いずれにせよ素晴らしい作品であることには変わりありません。

メンバー全員（サポートメンバー含めて）が、とにかく楽しそう。マイクとデニスはかなり不仲だったと言われているが、この映像からは全くそんなことを感じさせない。マイク、アル、カール、デニスの魅力が存分に発揮されている。６０年代のヒット曲だけでなく、「レディ・リンダ」や「キーピン’・ザ・サマー・アライブ」「スクール・デイズ」などの曲も聞き応えたっぷり。あの場に居合わせたかった！！と心から思わせる一枚。

ブルースの「歌の贈り物」がカットされたのは、何故だろう？
