   サウンドトラックは、クエンティン・タランティーノ監督の映画で常に重要な役を演じてきた。それも、時には俳優に負けないぐらいの大役を。カンフーを売り物にしたタランティーノの映画『キル・ビル』のサウンドトラックも例外ではない。それにしても、『レザボア・ドッグス』で耳をつんざくように流されたスティーラーズ・ホイールの「Stuck in the Middle with You」や、『パルプ・フィクション』で使われたダスティ・スプリングフィールドの圧倒的な「Son of a Preacher Man」をだれが忘れることができるだろうか？

   タランティーノはこのサウンドトラックのエグゼクティブ・プロデューサーである。彼の頑固なまでのマイナー志向と、往年の隠れた名曲を発掘してくる才能を考え合わせれば当然のことではあるが、この開き直ったかのように雑多なコレクションには虜（とりこ）になりそうな魅力がある。セリフの抜粋が耳障りではあるが（あまり出てこないのが救いだけれど）、あとはサンタ・エスメラルダの堂々たる「Don't Let Me Be Misunderstood」をはじめとして、珠玉のようなチューンを楽しめる。

   スライド・ギターがさく裂するチャーリー・フェザースのクールなロカビリー「That Certain Female」あり、ルイス・バカロフによるマカロニ・ウエスタンのテーマ曲あり、ウータン・クランのRZAが怒鳴りつけるようなラップを聴かせる「Ode To Oren」ありと多彩な内容だ。聴く耳のないリスナーにはおすすめできない。しかしながら本作は、教科書のルールをことごとく破り、何の脈絡もなく楽曲を配置しているにもかかわらず、驚くべきリスニング体験を味あわせてくれるのだ。（Christopher Barrett, Amazon.co.uk）

映画を観にいって、最後のスタッフロールにいきなりド演歌が流れてブッと吹きました・・・。
タランティーノの言い意味での「馬鹿馬鹿しい映画」（褒め言葉）を理解出来る人にはたまらないチョイスの曲ばかり！
ほんとうに、「ちょっと間違ってる日本」を全開披露してくれた彼には脱帽。オタクな愛を感じます。

映画を観終わって、この曲を聴けば聴くほど味わい深いのは何故？
11月現在、携帯の着信音？の人気では、オーレンを演じたルーシー・リューの「ヤッチマイナー！！」がダントツだとか。
だから、欲を言えば、映画のサントラなんだから、思い切ってあの声も入れて欲しかったかも知れない（笑）

私はアメリカ在住なので、この映画自体今までと違う観点で見れました。

総合的に、日本の侍、ヤクザ映画のパクリという感じでしたが、殺しシーンのグロさ以外は面白かったです。描写や音楽はすごく印象に残り、改めて日本映画を見直してみようと思いました。サントラの1で、最初から雰囲気作りされ、なんと言っても最後のシーンで梶芽衣子の曲が流れる辺り、憎い演出でした。あの映画にこのサントラなく語れないぐらいの出来だと思います。
おそらく、映画を見終わった後の方がこのサントラの価値がわかると思います。

サウンドトラックとしては最高でしょう。
未だ観ぬ「キル･ビル」の世界が窺えます。

ただ、純粋に音楽を楽しむには「？」です。
ラスト５トラックには効果音が収録されてあって、これはタランティーノのこだわりなんでしょう。タランティーノ並にＢ級映画を愛している人にしか理解できません。

しかし、いきなり演歌が流れてきた時にはビビリました。
