高２の夏　NY、セントラルパークでのThe RootsのRhazelのBeatboxにやられ、その日からビートボックスを始めたというＡＦＲＡ。

聴けばすぐにやられます。キック、スネア、ハイハット＋ベース、コスリから二枚使い。楽器としてのビートボックス。”生”のビートボックス。両方向への可能性を追求してるこの作品。ブッ飛ばされます。すごく余談ですが偶然にもダグＥフレッシュ（ビートボックスのオリジネーター）が彼の三軒隣に住んでいるらしい（！）

全面プロデュースって上に書いてあるけど、2と12曲目にシンコが絡んでて、2曲目はインスト(って言い方も変ですけど)、12曲目は同じ曲にラップが乗ってます。アニとボーズはほんのちょっとしか出てこないので注意。

7曲目の掛け合いとか、11曲目のライヴとか聞いてると、｢ホント口だけなの、これ？！｣とか思っちゃいますね。映像で見たい！と思ってたら、この冬にリリースされるセカンドはDVD付らしいですよ。しかもCDの方はPREFUSE 73とのコラボレーション！
超楽しみです。

富士ゼロックスのCMでその名を知らしめた「AFRA」。
日本でこれだけのSKILLを持ったBEAT BOXERはAFRAだけでしょう。
BEATを刻みながら「上を向いて歩こう」を歌っているのには鳥肌モンでした。

人間ラジカセを一度は聴いてみて下さい。
