いやいや、Yellow Jacketsの1st.がﾎﾞｰﾅｽﾄﾗｯｸ入りで再発されていたのか。既にCD持っているんだけど買い直してしまった。しかも、明確な表示はないがﾃﾞｼﾞﾀﾙﾘﾏｽﾀｰされてるみたい。ﾎﾞｰﾅｽﾄﾗｯｸも4曲とも言うこと無しで、かなりお買い得だと思う。このｱﾙﾊﾞﾑの頃のYellow Jacketsは今のｺﾝﾃﾝﾎﾟﾗﾘｰJAZZとは明らかに異なり、ﾊｰﾄﾞ&ﾒﾛｳでﾌｧﾝｷｰなﾌｭｰｼﾞｮﾝｻｳﾝﾄﾞで9th系16ﾋﾞｰﾄの曲があったりする。ｹﾞｽﾄもﾗﾘｰ･ｳｨﾘｱﾑｽ筆頭にｼｰｳｨﾝﾄﾞ･ﾎｰﾝやｱｰﾆｰ･ﾜｯﾂ、ﾊﾟｰｶｽにはｶｽﾄﾛやﾀﾞ･ｺｽﾀ、ﾌﾟﾛﾃﾞｭｰｽは大御所ﾄﾐｰ･ﾌｪﾌﾞﾗﾘｰじゃなくて、ﾘﾋﾟｭｰﾏです。そして、何よりﾛﾍﾞﾝ･ﾌｫｰﾄﾞが前面に出ており、いわばﾛﾍﾞﾝ･ﾌｫｰﾄﾞBANDって感じさえしてしまう。しかも、ﾛﾍﾞﾝ･ﾌｫｰﾄﾞ自体も最近のﾌﾞﾙｰｽに傾注したｽﾀｲﾙではなく、｢The Inside Story(ｷﾞﾀｰに愛を)｣の頃のﾌｭｰｼﾞｮﾝ系ｷﾞﾀﾘｽﾄの王道を行った感じで、ﾗﾘｰ･ｶｰﾙﾄﾝは嫌いではないけど、ちょっとﾎﾟｯﾌﾟすぎるんだよね~、って人には受けると思う。個人的にｶﾙﾛｽ･ﾘｵｽあたりとだぶるんだよね。まあ、前述の通りﾛﾍﾞﾝ･ﾌｫｰﾄﾞ狙いなら、超お勧めのｱﾙﾊﾞﾑで個人的には10点中10点。最近のYellow Jacketsがお好きな方々はご注意を。

ロベン・フォードを中心としたソロ・バンドを元に形成されたイエロージャケッツの1stアルバムです。最近、ジ・ンチ（ちなみにベースは、イエロージャケッツのオリジナルメンバーであるジミー・ヘイスリップ）で元気なロベンのジャズ・フュージョン・ギターが100％聞けるレアな作品といえる。特に、4曲目「Rush Hour」はロベンのスリリングでテクニカルなプレイが聴ける名曲である。一聴の価値あり。2曲目「Imperial Strut」も秀逸。
