   コメディエンヌ、ロージー・トマスによるこの2作目は、情感豊かで臆面もなくノスタルジックだった2002年のデビュー作『When We Were Small』よりさらに親近感を感じさせる。母親と共演したアカペラのラブソングであるオープニングの「Let Myself Fall」は、鈴が鳴るようなキーボード、甘いストリングス、ときおり鳴るハモンドオルガンと鉄琴を用いることで心揺さぶる繊細なムードを醸しだし、時間を超越した彼女独自の世界を狙いどおりに生みだしている。

   収録曲は1曲ずつ取り上げれば印象が薄いが、曲をいくつも積み重ねることで、おぼろになった過去の日々を、感傷的でありながら印象的に作り上げている。けれども個性派であるトマスは決して、非現実的な過去の記憶にふけっているわけではない。本作ではミュージシャンとしての自らのアイデンティティーへの信頼を深めることで、何もかもさらけだすような率直さを持って自分の選択や信念を見つめなおしている。

   なかでも、厳しく問いかける「Tell Me How」、眠気を誘うほどくどい「Gradually」、疑念と希望がないまぜになった「Dialogue」といったアルバムの終盤に向かってその傾向が濃くなる。同じくヴォーカルも力強さを増し、これまでにない抑制を効かせながら、しばしば急激な変化を見せては舞い上がったり沈みこんだりしていて、このうえなく軽快なときのトーリ・エイモスのようだ。ファンを息苦しくさせないためにも、将来的にはまちがいなくさらに視野を広げる必要に迫られることになるだろうが、今のところトマスの小さな世界は、前向きな（そして実証主義的な）喜びに満ちあふれている。（Dominic Wills Amazon.co.uk）

ノスタルジック･ミュージック。
1曲、1曲がグラスハープのようなメロディで
何とも心地よい気分になってしまいます。
そこには優しい時間が静かに流れて、聴き終わると
ちょっと寂しいような、心が緩やかになるような、
不思議な雰囲気。
クリーム･ソーダの泡のような･･･甘くて切ない
音楽。
