ある意味不器用さが魅力だった花田ルースターズだったが遂にリズム交代。しかし解散前提ながらよくこれだけの人材を見つけたものだ。三原と穴井とのFOUR PIECEだからこそROOSTERZは解散できた。
私は音楽の裾野を器用に開拓していく井上のベースを尊敬しているが、穴井はその後のキャリアもウイラード、パンタ、ジライヤとロック一直線。超ヘヴィー級だ。
飄々とした花田もプレイや楽曲に気合いが漲っている。下山も軋轢から解放されたように自由だ。
まさに有終の美を結実させた孤高のロックアルバム。

私は大江在籍時からのファンですが、やはりこのアルバムが一番好きです。花田さんと下山さんのコンビネーションが絶妙で、楽曲も名曲ぞろいです。三原さんと穴井さんによるリズムセクションも最高で、当時のライブでもドライブ感が最高でした。ジプシーズも最高だけど、この面子で再編ないのでしょうか....。名盤です。

5.0 out of 5 stars こんな緊張感のあるアルバムはめったに無い。, 2003/9/18
弱点を払拭するかのようにドラムにex.ローザ・ルクセンブルグの三原、ベースにex.ロッカーズの穴井を加えてリズム隊が鉄壁になったルースターズだったが、２人を迎える前に解散は決まっていたらしい。そういう特別な思いの中で制作されたアルバムには作詞に柴山俊之、PANTA、ゲスト・ミュージシャンにシオン、ホッピー神山を迎えるなど超豪華なメンツがずらり。特徴としては下山の曲が花田よりも多く収録されていて、当然のごとく下山色が強いものとなった。しかし花田はその分ヴォーカルとギター・プレイが光っている。「鉄橋の下で」の力みが抜け、優しさをたたえた唄い方がいい。「CROSSROAD」のギター・ソロなんて誰も絶対にマネできないだろう。「NAKED HEAVY MOON」での２本のギターのせめぎ合いなんて鳥肌ものだ。そして「LADY COOL」を聴くとすごく癒される。ルースターズは花田がこの曲を作ったから下山が解散すべきだと判断したらしいが、それもわかる。ルースターズが大江慎也在籍時から変わらず持っていたもの、それは「緊張感」であったからだ。オリジナル・ルースターである花田が（一時的とはいえ）それを失った時、ルーズターズの看板はやはり降ろされるべきだったのだ。話が横道にそれたが結論から言ってこんな緊張感のあるアルバムはめったに無い。日本のロックが好きなら絶対に聴くべきである。

1曲目の「GUN CONTORL」と2曲目の「再現できないジグソウ・パズル」を聴けば、もうすんなり世界に入っていくことでしょう。
