リアルタイムでルースターズを聴いていた頃、よく渋谷のジァンジァンにルースターズを見に通ったっけ。
でも、「DIS」を最後にルースターズから離れてしまった。
ステージ上で、異次元を見つめるように立ち尽くす大江さんの姿を直視できなかったから。

ふとしたきっかけで、20年振りに、その後のルースターズを聴きました。
そこには、当時の大江さんがいました。
それは、10代の自分ではなく、今の自分が共感できる大江さんでした。

こんなに飾り気の無い、自分自身に正直なアルバムは無いと思います。
混沌と絶望と切望が詰まったアルバムは。

個人的には大江慎也在籍時の傑作だとおもいます。製作がかなり難航したアルバムらしいですが、なによりも美しいサウンドに耳をうばわれます。　（１）は花田裕之がフロントになってからも、たびたび歌われることの多かった名曲で、アルバム中一番の美しさです。（６）V・Undergroundのカヴァーで花田さんが歌っています。（まるでブライアン・フェリーが歌っているようです。）　（９）で歌われる大江慎也の歌声はいつまで耳に残ります、これも名曲だとおもいます...。
（１０）はドゥルッティ・コラムをブルージーにした感じのインスト、こちらも良いです。痛いけど、夢のような世界。日本ロック界の名盤。

大江慎也在籍最後のアルバム。独特の世界に彩られた美しい音の数々、それはまさにφ（ファイ）なのでしょうか。一曲目の入り方が素晴らしいです。光が差し込むような、雲が晴れるような。でも、現実世界じゃないです、この世界は。大江慎也の、壊れてしまいそうな声、聴いてください。最後まで彼は美しかったです。6、花田ヴォーカルですが、コーラスの大江も良いです。9の「２番目の月が閉じるまで　明けた雲のように」、心に響きます。
