初めて「View」を聴いた時、「うわ、この曲なに？誰が歌ってるの？」とすぐに興味が湧きました。そしてセカンドの「君の話」を、ラジオをつけて途中から聴いた時も、「これ、もしかしてスキマスイッチ？」と、すぐにわかるほどのインパクトがありました。この２曲で、私は勝手に「スキマスイッチは毒入り」と思い込んでしまいました。

で、その毒がもっと聴きたくてこのミニアルバムに辿り着いたのですが・・。
そんな「毒入り」なんて単純な人達じゃなかったです。

えっ？えらく繊細な詞もあるじゃないか？しかもかなりいい！
こんな曲も作れるのか~？　だてにアフロじゃないな！（関係ない）

声も個性的で、かなり耳に残ります。ちょっととんねるずのノリさんっぽい雰囲気の声ですが、もちろんずっと上手いです。　

最初の２曲だけで印象を決めてる方、私同様に多いのではないかと思いますが、是非これ聴いてみて下さい。彼ら、確信犯ですよ！

　彼らの音楽を初めて聴いて、一言で表現すれば、“センスのよさ”を感じました。センスというのは、かっこいいことに対するセンスです。自分も作曲をしている身として、一つの曲を聴いたとき、例えばメロディーラインで言えば、“ここでこう来るか”的なニクさを感じます。アレンジも然り。

　特徴的なのは、ピアノが随所に入っていることだと思います。これによってアコギのカッティングの魅力を何倍も増しています。1の『君の話』や4の『君のこと全部』など、一歩外れるとベタになってしまいそうな歌詞を、実にスマートに歌ってのけます。2の『太陽』なんかもすごいオシャレです。

　オシャレでカッコいい、聴いてるとなんとなく心弾んじゃう、そういう魅力を持った作品だと思います。
