クラシックＣＤは１００枚ほどしか持ってなく、ブラームスの１番と２番の入った良い演奏のＣＤが欲しかったので、皆さんのレビューを参考にして購入しました。
特に２番は、本年７月に小沢征爾指揮の公演（サントリーホール）を生で聴いて以来、とても気に入っており、公演の二週間ほど前に、サイトウキネンオーケストラ（小沢指揮）のＣＤを購入して以来ずっと聴いておりました。

しかし、みなさんのレビューに書かれていた通り、このＣＤの演奏は予想を遥かに上回っていて、全曲切れ味の鋭さに舌を巻きました。しかも、１~４番が二枚組みで入っていてこの価格。絶対お買い得です。

カラヤン熟年の指揮のもと全曲非の打ち所のない演奏で、録音状態も大変良く、買って損をすることはありえません。私はクラシックを聴くようになってから２０年少々ですが、間違いなくお勧めのＣＤと断言して良いと思います。

録音状態も含め、全体の完成度は極めて高い。カラヤンらしい緻密な音楽であると思う。
個人的には第三番の第三、第四楽章が好きだが、残念なのは音の奥行きが不足しているように感じる点だ。
特に第四楽章は、もっと気迫が伝わってくる演奏を聴きたかった。
とはいえ、全集としての完成度ではトップクラスであるので、ブラームス交響曲全集をお求めの方には是非お勧めしたい。
このボリューム、この内容でこの値段というのがうれしい。

カラヤンらしいＢＧＭとして適した軽めの演奏で、
ブラームスの交響曲「入門」には手頃な全集です。

ウィーン・フィル、ロイヤル・コンセルトヘボウと並び
世界最高のオーケストラであるベルリン・フィルのハーモニーは美しく、
指揮するカラヤンの音に対する拘りが感じられます。

この演奏でブラームスに興味を持った方は、
深みや奥行も兼ね備えたモントゥー指揮／コンセルトヘボウ、ザンデルリンク指揮／ドレスデン・シュターツカペレ、
ボールト指揮／ロンドン・フィル、ミュンシュ指揮／パリ管などと聴き比べてみると面白いでしょう。
