　リバーダンス始まった初期からいるブレンダンさんがプリンシパルをつとめています。コリンさん（二代目プリンシパルダンサー）のビデオを何十回（百回超えてるかも）見た自分としては違和感大でした。しかし、このＤＶＤも何回も見ているうち、見ただけ発見があったり個性の良さみたいなのが分かってくるような気がして、次第にこっちの方がいいんじゃないかと思うまでに…
　だんだん手に入りにくくなるような気がします。気になる人は早めに手に入れておいたほうがいいかも知れません。

私は９９年(平成１１年)の大阪公演を見に行きました。それ以来夢中になりました。
自分で感動していたのが分らなく、自然と涙が出でしまいました。
それまではタップやアイリッシュダンス、ケルト・ミュージックは
｢なにそれ？｣って感じでした。ＴＶのＣＭでフィナーレのシーンが映り、
｢(今度は興味津々の)何これ？｣に変わりました。

この『リバーダンス』は、アイルランドの音楽とダンスをはじめとする
様々な伝承文化を先鋭的かつ通俗的なセンスでまとめ上げた、
全く新しいショウです。事前知識なんてなくても十二分に堪能出来ます。

個人的には好きです。ジュネーブ版は、ラジオシティ版と比べて、
派手な衣装や演出にはなったけれども、踊りがイマイチ・・・

「ファイヤーダンス」はマリアパペスがやって欲しかったし、
最後の「international」のところで、字幕はながさないで欲しかった。

とはいえ、「extra」メニューになんと「マイケルフラットレー」の

若き？！姿が！！それだけで、ちょっと、眼福な感じもしました。
