   V2移籍第1弾となる4枚目のアルバム。バッファロー・ドーターは作品を出すごとに作風が変わるが、今回も前作『I』のスピリチュアルな傾向とはガラリと異なる音になった。持ち味のひとつであるポップな歌ものが排除され、グルーヴ主体の長尺曲が大半を占め、実験的でアヴァンギャルドな部分が強く出たアルバムといえるだろう。1曲目の「Cyclic」からして、テリー・ライリー的なミニマリズムと、マニュエル・ゲッチングのようなトランシーなギターが融合し、ミニマルな人力グルーヴが10分以上にわたってじわじわと浸食してくる曲。他にもノイ！のようなハンマー・ビートがうねる「Pshychic A-Go-Go」、彼らの代表曲に現代音楽的な意匠を加えて拡大解釈した「303 Live」なども秀逸。現代音楽、ミニマリズム、ジャーマン・エレクトロ、ニュー・ウェイヴなどの要素を含みつつ、世界のどこにもないクールでラジカルなサウンドに仕上げてしまうセンスは、やはりこの3人ならではのものだ。（小山 守）

　ダウナーな「うたもの」主体だった前作『Ｉ』とはうってかわり、本作ではジャーマン・ロック経由のトランシーなミニマル・ビートが冒頭から炸裂する。それも前々作『ニューロック』では未だジャーマン・ロックからの影響がストレートだったのが、本作では見事に彼らの血肉化しておりとてつもなくフィジカルだ。ラストの２０分余りの長尺曲も、実験的な電子音楽がジョルジュ・モルダー風のダンス・ビートに、エレクトロニカがトランス・ミュージックへとめくるめく変化も決して頭でっかちな感じがせず飽きさせない。
　これでポップにはじけるメロディーを持ったヴォーカル・ナンバーが１~２曲あったら無敵だったんじゃなかろうか。

　いまさら「日本の」などという枕詞を必要としない本年屈指のロック・アルバム。

この作品でバッファロー･ドーターはNext LevelへピョンとJUMP UPしちゃいました。打ち込み音がほとんどをしめてるけどロックだなぁ。この昂揚感･踊れる感はロックだろう。打ち込み音の隙間に垣間見れるギターとベースの生音がまた効果的でカッコいい！特に最後の｢303 Live｣は圧巻！現代音楽のようで実験的なものを感じるけどちゃんとロックとして躍らせ楽しませてくれるんだからすごい！ところどころお茶目な感じもするのがまたニクイ。歌詞もサイバーで音の雰囲気にピッタリ。あととっても音がいい!

買ってしばらく放置しておいたのだが、半年ほどしてからふと気になって聞いてみたところ、なぜなぜどうして、知覚している世界が瞬時に消え去り、見事に内向状態に突入してしまった。
繰り返される電子音とギターリフ、そしてそれにアクセントを加えるドラムの音にしびれます。5曲目もダルイけれど、11'45"まで待ちましょう。
意外に、勉強・仕事用のBGMに向いているかも。
