4.0 out of 5 stars DESTRUCTIONらしさ, 2004/3/17
復活３作目にして、やっとDESTRUCTIONらしさが感じられた。前作、前々作はどうも音が作られすぎの感があり、良質なスラッシュではあるものの、DESTRUCTIONの本来の個性がぼやけていた気がする。その点、今回のアルバムは音も生っぽく、マイクの複雑なリフワークが気持ちよく堪能できる。
（ボーカルが依然としてオーバープロダクションでいまいち気になるが･･）

次作では是非“RELEASE FROM AGONY”のような狂気的かつ複雑の中に様式美を織り交ぜたサウンドを復活させてほしい。

俺がDESTRUCTIONを初めて聴いたのはこの『METAL DISCHARGE』からで1曲目の“THE RAVENOUS BEAST”聴いた時はブッ飛んだね!
それに負けじと2曲目の“METAL DISCHARGE”もいいぜぇ!
最初は、
「かっけえ!」
と心の中で叫んだよ! DESTRUCTION、かっけえよ。また、前作の『THE ANTICHRIST』より聴きやすいと俺は思うね。
ファンなら買え! スラッシュ・メタルファンもだぞ! 買わねえと損するぞ。
俺個人にお勧め曲はなんといっても1曲目の“THE RAVENOUS BEAST”と2曲目の“METAL DISCHARGE”、6曲目の“DESECRATORS OF THE NEW AGE”だな。
アルバムに対する評価だが、文句なしに星5個だな!

正統派スラッシュメタルバンドDESTRUCTION復活から数えて3作目。
復活後からアルバムを出すたびに、その持ち味が勢いづいている気がする。
今時では珍しいくらいのストレートなスラッシュメタルを聴かせてくれる。

1stから比べると、幾分聴き易くなったと思われる。
メイデンの名曲、"Killers"のカヴァーも入っており

DESTRUCTIONを聞きはじめようと思っている人にも問題なく薦められそう。
じっくり聞き込んで欲しい名盤だ。
