主人公が可愛らしい中にも内面の美しさを感じさせて、とても共感できます。ジョナサン・リース・マイヤーズ は、終始、夢見るような眼差しで、非の打ち所のない「王子様」役！キーラ・ナイトレイは“どこかで見た･･”と思っていたら、『レジェンド・オブ・アロー』の彼女だったんですねぇ･･。主人公のお姉さんもお父さんも、それぞれに、共感できるところがあり、とっても後味のよい作品でした。イギリスで暮らすインド人社会の内情も垣間見ることができて、面白いです！ぜひ観てください！

　この映画は本当に素晴らしいと思います。
名前から言うとＷカップで有名になった「ベッカム選手」ファンの
甘いお話かな？と思ってしまいがちですが、この映画の本当のタイトルは
「BEND IT LIKE BECKHAM」つまりベッカムのように曲げろ！という事です。
　主人公は在英インド人の女の子で厳しい伝統に縛られています。

そんな彼女の夢はベッカム選手のようなボールを曲げられる選手になる事。
しかし、厳しい境遇の中に居る彼女が夢を叶えるには規則を曲げていかな
ければいけません。このタイトルは映画の中でそんな隠喩にもなっている
そうです。
　夢と家族の中で葛藤する主人公に誰もが恋をしてしまうハズ。
見終わった後にはだれもが充実した気分になれますよ！！

~殺伐とした映画が溢れかえる中、爽やかに笑えて手に汗握った上見終わったあと元気になれる映画なんてほとんどありません。この作品でブレイクした主演の二人はこのあとそれぞれ全米テレビシリーズとハリウッドの大作に抜擢されていますが、製作・脚本・監督のグリンダ・チャーダ以外、脇をかためる芸達者なキャストも含めてほぼ全員が公開当時は無名でした。~~低予算でこれだけ楽しめる作品を作るなんてすごい才能ですね。ところで７７年に設立された全米女子サッカー連盟は解散の危機にありましたが、この映画のせいかどうかはわかりませんが、最近になって存続が決まったようです。~
