DVDビデオやスーパービデオCD用のMPEG-2、ビデオCD用のMPEG-1の作成に対応するMPEG-1/2用エンコーダ。DVカメラからパソコンに取り込んだAVIファイルから、MPEG-1もしくはMPEG-2ファイルを作成することが可能。画質は、2パスVBR(可変ビットレート)エンコード方式などを採用し、美しい画質で高圧縮率を実現する。また、画面のガイドに従って、進めるだけで容易に目的にあったMPEGファイルを作成することができる「プロジェクトウィザード」を搭載し、ビデオCD、DVD作成用など目的別に、容易な手順で適切なMPEGファイルの設定が行える。メインインターフェースでは、ほかのMPEGエンコードソフトでは作成できない画面サイズ、ビットレート、GOP設定などMPEGに関する様々な設定を行うことが可能で、ユーザーの求める仕様のMPEGファイルを自由に作成することができる。新たに、マスターCDを更新したほか、CRI・ミドルウェア社製「CRI Sofdec」を搭載し、デコーダを強化。発売1周年記念感謝パッケージ。

このソフトはDVDビデオやスーパービデオCD用のMPEG-2、ビデオCDのMPEG-1の作成に対応するMPEG-1/2用エンコーダです。DVカメラからパソコンに取り込んだAVIファイルから、MPEG-1/2ファイルを作成することが可能ですので、オリジナルDVDを作成する人もおすすめです。

画質は、2パスVBR(可変ビットレート)エンコード方式でエンコードできるので、美しい画質で高圧縮率を実現して大変重宝します。
また、画面のガイドに従って、進めるだけで簡単に目的にあったMPEGファイルを作成することができるので、初心者にもおすすめです。
ただし、音声形式がAC-3には対応していないので、そこのところは注意してください。

でも、非常に使いやすいので一度買うと、手放すことができません。
