画質、音質共に良くはない。しかし1981年の作品であることや、その場限りの一発勝負の影像を追うドキュメンタリーである事を考慮に入れれば仕方ないのかも。表紙のジョルジュ・ドンに惹かれて観ると、期待を裏切られる。彼中心の影像は１４チャプターのうち3チャプターのみ。あくまでもベジャール中心の作品。しかし彼と切っても切れない関係のジョルジュ・ドンの素顔があちこちにちりばめられており釘付けになる。このバレエ団にとってまさに絶頂期の様子が収められており、有名無名ダンサー達のリハーサル風景の他、他では観られない作品の一番の見所のみの影像なども収められている。日本語字幕がつかない部分が多く残念だが、それを差し引いても楽しめる。
このバレエ団、ベジャール、ドンに興味のある人にはお勧め。

ジョルジュ・ドンが、なぜこれほど伝説化されているのかがわかる。彼のバレエを見たことがない方には是非おすすめ。
彼のボレロは１度見たら感動するか激しく嫌悪するかのどちらかであろうが、このようなボレロはもはやこのDVDを通してしか見ることができないだろう。
もしこれをみて彼のバレエに感動したならば、アダージェット、なども是非みて下さい！
