北京という大都会に生きる現代人の「キレ」る
日常を描いたイーモウらしくない、前衛的作品。
オープニングからして、らしからぬ臭いがプンプン。
最後まで観て、まったく予想を裏切る（いい意味で）
斬新な作品でございました。

DVDには、イーモウ監督のインタビューがありますが、
この作品についての監督の取り組みが語られています。

ハンディカメラの多用、クローズアップの多用、常に
揺れる画面、ブラックユーモアの人間喜劇です。

でも、そこは、イーモウ監督。単なる実験的手法にとどまり
ません。
現代中国人（といっても、もう現代人、都会に
生息する輩は、世界各国共通ではありますけど）の
いらいら、落ち着きのなさ、下品さ、エゴイズム、残忍さ、
などがたっぷり彫り込まれています。

笑うのは、主人公(『紅いコーリャン』で、コン・リーの
男を演じた方らしい。監督もやっているとか）が着ている
Tシャツに、「HOT COOL」って書かれていた場面ですね。

イーモウは、従来の自分の作品とは全然違った１本だが、
もうこういうのは作らないから、楽しんで観てくれ、と
インタビューでもうしておりますです。

妙にリアルな映画だと感じました。
中国映画。特に歴史物や文芸大作はどこか白々しく感じてしまうのですが、このキープ・クールには本当に引き込まれました。
ジャンルは、サスペンス風喜劇とでもなるんでしょうか。とにかく従来の中国映画には無かった味です。

姜文をはじめとした俳優陣の充実した演技以外に、野心的なカメラワークも見所だと思います。
また当時のヒット曲が随所に織り込まれています。
従来と異なる中国映画の新しい一面に触れたい方に、自信を持ってお勧め致します。

すごい・・・！　彼のほかの作品は結構みていたのだけど、これは他とは全く毛色がちがう！姜文と、おっさん役のベテラン俳優さんの演技も本当にすばらしいし・・・。最近のチャンイーモウ路線からは全く想像できない作品です。
DVDの付録のインタビューで、彼自信がこの映画について語っている映像があるのだけど、そこでは結構否定的なトーンで話をしていたように見受けられました。いち映画ファンとしては、彼の最近の作品よりぜんぜんいいと思うんだけど・・・？？
