3人でコーヒー飲むのにはちょうど良い容量です。
仕様、デザインは気に入っているのですが・・・ちょっと気になることが。
持ち手の部分に本体をはめ込む形になっているんですが、
お湯を注いでしばらくすると持ち手の部分が熱で膨張して
本体ガラスがクルクルと回ってしまいます。
金額はこっちの方が安くていいんですが、
持ち手が金具で止まっているフレンチプレスの方がいいかも。
洗うのには分解できる方が良いんだけど・・・

おいしい自家焙煎豆を売っているお店で薦められた一品。ドリップで淹れたコーヒーとは違う、チョコレートのような甘みや柑橘系のさわやか味といった、それぞれの豆の特徴を最大限引き出してくれるのがプレスのコーヒーのように思います。中でもこのプレスは安さに反して、プレス、ガラス部位に重厚感があり、プレスを固定するネジも外れにくく、安定した作り。また実際豆屋さんが試飲用に使用していて、そこでいただいた一杯が非常に美味しかったのが購入の決め手に。自家焙煎コーヒー豆専門のお店はインターネット通販でも多く見かけるので、是非焙煎したての豆と一緒にプレスをお薦めします。コーヒーは思ってた以上にカラフル、華やかな飲み物でした。

100gあたり5000円を超えるような世界トップクラスの豆をいだたく機会に恵まれ、いいコーヒーはカフェプレスで飲みなさいと薦められて、この商品を購入。

カフェプレスは豆を粉砕したときの微粉末が液中に混じらないよう粗挽きが基本だが、中粗挽きくらいまでなら問題ない。
気になる人は、粉末が沈殿してからカップに注げばいいと思う。
コーヒー通なら、細挽きにしてあますところなくカフェ・エキスを抽出し、微粉末が沈殿する時間も考慮の上で使うといい。

このカフェプレスは色もデザインも材質も良く、黒プラスチックの枠で内部のビーカー部分をかすかに浮かせているので、保温性も良い。
できたコーヒーも、コーヒー独自のカフェオイル(油分/旨味成分)を味わえるので、良い豆を使えば最高に美味いコーヒーが味わえる。
コーヒーには、苦みと酸味、コクなどの他に「旨味」があるのだなと、わたしは本商品を使って初めて知った。

と、基本的に大のお気に入りコーヒーグッズなのだが、如何せん耐久性がいまひとつ。
買ってからまだ十回も使っていないし、二ヶ月も経過していないのに粉を湯の中に押し込むシャフト部のプラスチックの金具が壊れてしまい、下まで粉を押し込むことができなくなってしまった。
仕方なく、茶こしで粉を漉してカップに注いでいる。

修理もメーカーで受け付けてくれているようなのだが、戻ってくるまでコーヒーが飲めないというのも辛すぎる。
仕方がないから、また新しいものを買おうと思う。

※現在ふたつめを使用中。以後は特に壊れることもなく、日々、コーヒー本来の旨味ある美味なコーヒーを楽しんでいる。
