選曲がまずい。ウルトラホークの発進ＳＥ（というよりアナウンス）と発進にかかった曲に、何故か「ＭＡＴチームの歌」といった劇中使われていない歌が続く。全体としてまとまりがないという印象な上、その選曲理由や並べ方を説明してくれるはずの解説が皆無、曲目リストだけという不親切さ。ＧＵＴＳとスーパーＧＵＴＳを混同してるらしいフシも見られるし、「自分の好きな曲をＭＤにまとめた」というレベルを超えるものではない。及第点には及ばない商品。しかも「ワンダバ」に的を絞ったＣＤが後に発売されてしまい、このＣＤはかなり影が薄くなった。

ところで、このＣＤはASIN B00007JWLIと同一のもの。帯が赤か青かの違いだけ（＝帯を取ったら区別が付かなくなる）。インディペンデントレーベルからの発売で、販売元が徳間からコロムビアに移ったためこのような事態が発生したらしい。間違えて両方買わないように……私のように（自爆）

ウルトラマンのファンと一言に言っても、年齢・世代でその意識や嗜好は様々。私はＱからＡあたりのファンですが、このＣＤに関しては満足度はまあまあ。ウルトラ警備隊のコーラス入バージョンがあるのは嬉しい。逆にポインター疾走場面の名曲「ＵＬＴＲＡ７」はありません。また、ワンダバについてはＴＡＣとＵＧＭが未だ入っていないのは残念。こういう企画はファンにはとても嬉しいので、ＣＤ複数枚組でもいいから全曲漏れのないようにカバーしてほしいところです。それにしても最初と最後をセブンでしめくくっているのはなぜ？
