リツコの活躍とスーパーコンピューター・マギの秘密の一部が
明らかになる１３話が興味深かった。敵がハッキング攻撃をしかけて
くる…というのも近未来戦っぽくて新鮮だったと思う。
が、やはり１６話だろう。ディラックの海なる虚空空間を操る
レリエルの影をブチ破り、血飛沫を撒き散らしながら咆哮をあげる
初号機はカッコよすぎ。

恐怖するアスカや「エヴァってなんなの!?」と物語の本質を問う
ミサトもよかった。

第4巻。この巻から後半の重い展開へと突入していきます。
14話は物語前半の総括と共に、ネルフの裏に存在するゼーレという組織にスポットが当たります。
人類補完計画、ネルフの地下に存在するリリスなど多くの重要なキーワードが出始め、
物語はサスペンス調に展開します。
レイがただのエヴァ操縦者ではない事、ミサトと加持の過去の断片など、曝けすぎず伏せすぎず、
じらし方が絶妙です。こうした引きの上手さは間違いなくエヴァの成功した理由の一つでしょう。
16話ではこれもエヴァ独自の持ち味である個人の真理追究が描かれます。
使徒との戦いはもはや物理的な意味だけではなく、ここら辺から操縦者の心理にも大きな
影響を与えていきます。
シンジ・アスカ・ミサトの同居生活も綻びが目立ち始め、見ていて少し悲しくなりますが・・・。

このＤＶＤには、物語の半分を振り返る話が入っているので、
この巻から買っても、全然損ではないと思います。

そして、何と言っても、この巻はドラマ的要素が多い話ばかり！
ロボットアニメだから･･･と思っていて食わず嫌い（？）の方に、
ぜひオススメの一本です！
