ギリシャのメロディック・デス・メタルバンドEXHUMATIONの元ギタリストによる新バンドの１ｓｔ。

メンバーにはAT　THE　GATESでおなじみの猛者、トーマス・リンドバーグ（Vo）を始め、近年メキメキ頭角を現しつつある若き逸材ガス・Ｇ（ｇ）、THE　HAUNTEDで素晴らしいドラミングを披露している名手ペル・モラー・ヤンセン（Dr）など、錚々たる顔ぶれが名を連ねており、内容もその顔ぶれから想像される期待を裏切らないメロデス作品に仕上がっている。

メロデスといっても、キーボードが乱舞する甘口タイプではなく、メロディックながらも獣性の高い強靭なもので、その殺傷力はなかなか。

メロディックで勇壮なギター・リフを、ペルのタイトなドラミングが疾走させ、その上にトーマスの猛獣の如き咆哮が乗るスタイルは、驚きや新鮮さには欠けるものの、我が血肉を踊り立たせるには十分刺激的。

まあしょっぱなの＃１“The　Tremor”だけのためにこのアルバム買ってもいいんじゃないかな。
個人的にはこの１曲に彼らの存在意義を感じる。

次作もカッコいい！

　ドリームバンドとはこういうことを言うのだろうか？ギターにガス・G、ドラムにペル・モーラー・ヤンセン、ヴォーカルにトーマス・リンドバーグ、キーボード・プロデューサーにフレドリック・ノルドストームである。面子だけを見ても、やってる音が目に浮かぶが、中心人物は、EXHUMENTIONのマリオス・イリオポリス。数曲で、EVERGRAYのトム・エングルンドのクリーン・ヴォーカルが聴ける。トーマス・リンドバーグが歌えば、全てAT THE GATESに聴こえる。それくらいに存在感があるのだ。が、先述したトムの歌声も適度に主張しており、８曲目等は元ARCHのエリック・ホークを彷彿させる。
　曲調は、正統派メタル寄りのメロディック・デスメタルで簡単に言えば初期IN FLAMESをアグレッシブにした感じ。２曲目、３曲目はまさにIN FLAMESで、１１曲目はDIMENSION ZEROのEVERLASTING NEVERNESSといった趣。
　又、忘れてはならないのが、平然とブラストビートをかますペル・モーラー・ヤンセンの仕事ぶり。
　一時、飽和状態だったメロディック・デスメタル界だったが、それが淘汰され、またイキの良いバンドが誕生（新人ではないが）した。しかし、このバンドに次作があるのか心配だ。
