   1995年にフジテレビ系で放映された、三谷幸喜脚本による群衆ドラマ。落ちぶれたフレンチ・レストランを、かつてその店に勤めていたギャルソンが立て直す物語。
   主人公である伝説のギャルソン・千石を演じる松本幸四郎は、「黄金の日々」以来のTVドラマ・レギュラー出演となるが、三谷のシナリオが彼のキャラを巧みに捉え、絶妙な存在感と味わいを見せる。とりわけ8話後半におけるシェフ・しずか（山口智子）との語らいは、秀逸な大人のラブ・シーンとして長く記憶に残るだろう。千石をとりまく登場人物たちも個性派ぞろいだが、強調しておきたいのは西村雅彦、白井晃、梶原善、伊藤俊人といった小劇場出身の俳優たちの活躍ぶりである。三谷シナリオのツボを心得た彼らの演技がこの群衆劇を成功に導いたと言ってもいい。そんな小劇団系俳優たちに混ざって、筒井道隆、山口智子、鈴木京香といった若手俳優、お笑い出身の田口浩正、地味ながら味のあるバイプレイヤー・小野武彦といった面々の個性が全面的に開花。第1話放映後、他局のドラマ関係者が「シナリオ、演出、俳優、すべてが完璧」と白旗を揚げたというエピソードも残る、まさしく伝説のTVドラマ。（斉藤守彦）

唯一残念だったのは、幻の特典映像が入ってなかったこと…。
コメンタリーで梶原さんと三谷さんが話していたように、やはり収録して欲しかった。
あと、値段自体は（内容を考慮すれば）高くないけど、パッケージがちょっと貧弱かな。
内容自体は、とても満足できるものなので、８年待っても手に入れる価値があったけど。
販売企画した人の才覚の無さに腹が立ちます。
とにかく、三谷作品の中ではＴＯＰ５に入る出来ですので、購入しておいて損は無いでしょう。

文句なく、三谷幸喜さんのテレビドラマ最高傑作でしょう。無数にちりばめられた小洒落た台詞やとぼけたエピソードが、時にさりげなく、時にあからさまに回収され、繋がり合い、１つの暖かなドラマを作り上げます。脚本・演出・俳優・音楽…全てがこれほど高いレベルで完璧な調和を保つドラマは滅多に無いでしょう。「すばらしい…！」

当時11歳の私を三谷幸喜ワールドに引き込んだ名作ドラマ！まだまだトレンディさが幅を利かせていたドラマ界において、軽妙洒脱なユーモアと人生のペーソスとを織り交ぜたその演出手法に思わずこんなドラマみたことないよ！と興奮してしまったのを未だに覚えております。「十二人の優しい日本人」もそうでしたが、根本的に三谷幸喜の人間へのまなざしは優しくて、だから見終わったあとに温かな気持ちになれるのでしょうねぇ。そしてそれを柔らかな笑いで包み込んで伝えてくれるから、妙な押し付けがましさもなく。一癖もニ癖もある従業員たちが様々な困難を経て、やがてLa Belle Equipe（良き友）となっていく様にほろりとさせられます。彼ら一人ひとりの見せ場を書き始めたらそりゃもうきりがないほど長くなってしまいそうなので、それはまた別の話、ということにしておきましょう。
