反戦運動の嵐が吹き荒れ、「唄で世の中が変えられる」という想いがピークに達していた1969年、「これから何かがはじまる」予感で熱気に最も溢れていた中津川第一回全日本フォーク・ジャンボリーの貴重なライヴ音源集。

URCを中心とするフォーク・ムーヴメントがいかに大きな盛り上がりを見せたかを象徴するのが69~71年の計3回、岐阜県椛の湖畔（はなのこはん）で行われた「全日本フォークジャンボリー」だ。その中でもこの第1回は当時リアル・タイムではレコード化されていなかっただけにその歴史的価値は大きい。本作は残された数少ないマスターから98年に編集されたもので、当時のスター・シンガーが勢ぞろいし、実に初々しく熱気あふれる演奏とその「場」が記録されている。観客との強烈な一体感は後年のイベントでは感じることのできないものだ。（田口史人）
