たぶん20代前半だと私は聞かなかっただろうジャンルです。
この静かさと表現力の深さは、30代になってからわかるようになったような気がします。
畠山美由紀の音楽はサプリメントでもお菓子でもなく、お薬なんですねえ。
特に甘くも苦くも感じないけど、あとからじわーっと深く確実に効いてくる。
気がついたら胸のもやもやがなくなってました、みたいな。

ハマりすぎると涙もろくなるっていう副作用はありますが。
休日に、どこか一人で出かけたいなあ､という女性に。恋人と聞くというより、一人のほうがいいかも。朝の散歩に、サイクリングに、ドライブに。ぴったりです。
きっと特別な一日になるはず。
あと、気の置けない女友達と部屋でワインでもあけようかって時にもいいかもですね。

　もちろん発売されると同時に即買いして、半年以上聴きまくった後、少し休止を入れて最近また聞きだしました。
　曲、演奏、そしてもちろん歌唱力に関してはほかのreviewerの方々から折り紙つきの評価をいただいているので、今回は少し違った角度でのreviewを。
　このアルバムに入っている曲のほとんどを彼女自身が作詞しているのですが、heavy rotationで聞き入ってみるとｻの凄さが少しずつ分かってきます。
　たとえば、
　「少しだけ上を向いて、咲き乱れてる永遠をご覧よ」
とか、
　「晴れた朝日が呼ぶように、青い魚が飛び跳ねる」
　「流浪の歌を聞かせてよ
　　香しく咲いた星空。
　　きっと君がもうすぐ来る」
とか。
　こういったセンスには、本当に惚れ惚れします。中にはかの松本隆氏が作詞をしたものもありますが、断然彼女の手によるもののほうが、味わい深いものがあります。
　歌詞カードをじっくり読む、こんな楽しみ方もこのアルバムではありなのではないでしょうか。

私自身、車で一人で長距離の移動しながら音楽を聞くのが大好きなのですが、
個人的には車の場合、特に洋楽女性ボーカルがメインなのに対し、邦楽アーティストでここまで深みがありかつ病み付きになって聞けると確信した一枚でございます。
私的には特に「罌粟(けし)と海がほしいのに」の２曲は一人で長距離運転になくてはならない存在！じっくり聞くと鳥肌モノです！
ちなみに地方に向かう高速道路で朝日が昇ったころ聞くと尚、最高です。
