一曲目の「Ein Wunderhu[:]bsches Ma[:]dchen Tra[:]umt Von Sandosa」（辞書で調べると「ｻﾝﾄﾞｰｻ(LSDのﾒｰｶｰ)で夢見た素晴らしい女の子という意味らしい)はVELVET UNDERGROUNDの「SISTER RAY」、CANの「YOO DOO RIGHT」と並ぶ「イッちゃってる」音楽です。いうならば、ヤク中がああーとかううーとか言葉にならない声をうめいているのをそのまま録音したような感じ（ヴェルヴェットはそれをもう少し意味のある単語に直したもので、カンはその後の抜け殻がぶつくさつぶやいてる状態といったら分かるのかも知れません）。残りの曲や2ndのcollapsingも同工異曲なのですが、なぜかあんまり聞く気にはならないですね、ほんと一曲目だけは奇跡のようなすごい曲です。事実amon duulはこの一発でシーンから消えてしまいました。でもこれだけで十分です、残りの曲はどうでもいい。

ヘタに触ると大やけどを負う、ジャーマン・ロック屈指のサイケデリック・ロックアルバム。元々はコミューン的な共同生活を行っていたヒッピー達が集まって出来たグループで、1968年に行った3日間のレコーディング・セッションを、編集して一枚のアルバムにまとめたもの。これほどまでに「地獄絵図」 という言葉がピッタリ来るようなアルバムも稀である。

　ほとんどノイズの塊にしか聴こえない強烈なエフェクトが加えられたアコースティック楽器。狂ったように執拗に打ち鳴らされるパーカッション群。頭がイッてしまっている人たち（メンバー＋その子供含む）による謎のうめき声や叫び声。不気味さを一層際立たせる奇妙なコラージュ。とりわけ、1曲目の17分を超える大曲は、熱をともなって重なり合い、もつれ合いながら昇り詰めていくようなサイケデリック且つノイジーな演奏が圧巻の一言。正に阿鼻叫喚の地獄絵図と呼ぶのにふさわしい光景。どこかの宗教団体の祭りを実況録音しているかのような、不気味なムードを醸し出している。

という訳で誰でもお勧めできる内容ではもちろんないですが、ありきたりな音楽にウンザリされた方、冒険してみたい方、ここではない何処かに旅立ちたい、という何らかの野心を持った方にのみ全力を持ってお勧めします。
