『New Sky』と対で発表されたアルバム。こちらはよりポップで、風船のコーラス・ハーモニーを存分に楽しめる。とくにアカペラではじまる「小石をけって見よう」は名品。

前作『NEW SKY』とセットで発表されるはずだった風船の第5作の後編。西岡たかしはこの2枚をもって風船を解散させるつもりだったとコメントしているように、最終作らしい終末感と、これまで培って来たものをこの1作に注ぎ込もうという制作者（西岡）の熱気が伝わってくる。しかし、その音の感触は内なる熱とは反対に、これまでの風船のアルバムの中では最も穏やかな表情を見せている。東の鍵盤のドローン的な効果や叙情的な長野ベース、藤原秀子のヴォーカルも活きており、バンドとしての充実度も終末に向かうに従ってその濃度を増している。（田口史人）
