　私も去年の夏にこのCDを渋谷のHMVで聴いた時の感動が今も忘れられません。
　それまでfreetempoについてはなにも知りませんでしたし、forestnautというレーベルも初耳でした。しかし、2曲目のsky highを耳にしてからレジにもっていくまで、たぶん3秒もかかっていないと思います。それほどの即買いをしてしまいました。で、家に帰ってゆっくり聴いてみると、sky highはもちろん、その他の曲も結構聞き応えがあって妙にお買い得な気分をしました。
　ただ一つ、ナンクセをつけるとすれば、歌詞カードが欲しかった。歌詞がある曲はそれほど多くありませんが、とくにsky highではなんと歌っているのか聞き取りにくくて、おかげで風呂場ででも鼻歌程度にしか歌えずに困っています。

　まだ聴いていない人はぜひ一度聴いてみてください。私が味わったのと同じ感動をきっと味わってもらえると思います。
　もちろん、☆は５つ。

２曲目に収録されている「Sky High」が、とにかく素晴らしい。メロディが美しすぎて、涙が出そうになる。ヨーロッパのオシャレな映画のエンディングに流れていても違和感なし。他の曲も秀逸です。ジャンルを超えた音楽だと思います。

仙台が生んだ有名クラブアーティストといえば、GAGLEのトラックメーカーであるDJ Mitsu the Beatsの他にもう一人、半沢武志のソロプロジェクト「FreeTEMPO」があります。

このアルバムのTr.02"SkyHigh"を一度聞けば、彼の音楽の持つ清涼感やグルーヴ感がすぐに伝わってくると思います。とてもメロディアスで、気持ち良いくらいにド真ん中の４つ打ちで。
ルームリスニングの機能とクラブリスニングの機能、両方を持っているとても器用な作品です。

あと、ぜひ作品を買って味わって欲しいものがもうひとつ。ライナーノーツに収められているとても美しい写真です。
FreeTEMPOの作品のジャケットには必ず「子供」が登場します。それは半沢武志本人の「子供心の純粋さを描いたような曲作り」という姿勢からも来ているそうです。
このアルバムに収められている写真はどれも非常に美しいです。遥か上空から見た海の写真、満面の笑顔で走り回る子供達、鮮やかに咲く花、そして夕暮れ…。
曲と一緒に写真を観ていると、その曲に込められた世界観のようなものが頭にぶわっと拡がって来ます。
不思議なもので、完全打ち込みのサウンドでありながら、どことなく人間的な暖かさを感じる音なんですよね。FreeTEMPOの音って。

とここまで褒め殺しておきながら、彼のデビュー作でもあるこのアルバムはまだ粗削りな所もあって、全体通すと少し似た曲調・展開がある事も書いておきます。
でもやっぱり好きなアルバムです。未体験の人はぜひ。
