このUK版はCCCDですが、ボーナストラックとして、
Santanaと共演の「the game of love」と
ヒットシングルから「everywhere」
の２曲が追加されています。

名盤になると思います。
どの曲もお気に入りですが、「breathe」がすごくよかった。
ぱっと聴くと、メロディに惹かれるのですが、
じっくり聴くと、歌詞もすごく共感します。
「empty handed」の歌詞なんか、特に。

Liveで聴いたら、本当に感動するだろ~な。
買ってよかった。

　ミッシェル・ブランチの2ndです。
　1stでは、彼女の才能が分かりやすいカタチで発揮され、
とても存在感のあるアルバムでした。
　
　この2ndは、1stに比べるとチョット地味です。
　いや、大人になったと言うべきでしょう。
　1stでは、一聴して、「この曲好き！」といえる曲が多かったのに対し、
2ndでは、何回か通して聴くたびに、じわじわと良さが伝わってくる。。。
　そんな、味わい深いアルバムになってます。

　成長することによって、今まで感じたことの無い感情を抱くことは、誰しも経験があると思います。
　また、そのような感情は、だんだん一言では言い表せないものになってきます。

　そのような彼女の人間的成長が、確実に反映されたアルバムだと思います。

　また、とても暖かみのあるアルバムに仕上がっているところが、
「女性としても一皮向けたな~」なんて、感じています。個人的には。
　
　1stよりも聴く価値のある、シッカリ聞きこむ価値のある、大推薦の名盤です。

なにしろニールショーンを発掘したあのサンタナが自身のアルバムで歌わせたほどのヴォーカリストである。ゲームオブラブは、このアルバムで浮いた印象をもつがそれもそのはずサンタナの大ヒットチューンなのだ。
とにもかくにも十代のアイドル歌手などとなめてはいけない。ロックンロールからバラードまで器用にこなすまさしくディーバなのだ。とくにこのアルバムは、聞き返すほど味がでてくるようにおもう。私のカーステでの常連だ。また容姿に関しても、インドネシア人とのハーフだけあって日本人にもわりと身近に感じるかもしれません。ロックファン、ポップスファン双方にお薦め!
