先ず、アルバム全体的な印象としてはタイトルトラック「Chariot」タイプの楽曲が殆どを占め、異色は「Chemical Party」「I Don't Want To Be」の2曲だけ。特に後者はそのまま6,70年代にもっていっても遜色のないくらい渋く、歌詞も含め26歳とは思えない深い味が出ていて、個人的にはベストトラック。ただ、John MayerやJason Mrazなどとは全くタイプが違う。AAA系では同じだが、決定的に違うのはGavinの場合はギターではなくピアノであるということ。そして、どの楽曲でもそのピアノサウンドにより適度な柔らかさと、春らしい清清しさ、ギターメインとは違う種類の厚みを持っていること。それは「Just Friends」「Crush」でよくわかる。とにかく、早く日本でライヴをやって欲しいと思う。

Ｊレコードから新人登場！といっても彼はＮＹのライブシーンでは有名でファンも多い。日本での知名度が無いのが残念。なぜならば、生のライブを是非観たいから。ギター、ピアノもこなす才能あるシンガーソングライター！！心地よいメロディーで歌詞もなかなか良い。ただ。１曲だけ（Ｍ５）はいつも飛ばしてしまうのだが、その他は全て良し。

　あのJason　Mrazも彼は凄いって言ってるよ。
