基本的に、本編で使用されたトラックを集めた正統派のサウンドトラックなので、単体の作品として楽しめるかというと難しいところですが、47分に凝縮されたストーリーを鮮やかに切り取った音楽の数々は、優れたものばかりで聞き飽きることはありません。

おそらく、すべてを語っているのは、「1. Road ~Opening title~」で、軽快にはじまるサウンドと、突如として空に舞い上がるような感覚を味和せてくれるオーケストレーションで、物語に一気に引き込んでくれます。オーケストラパートのフレーズは、「14. Summer in Andalusia」でほぼ全編に渡って現れ、聴く者の感動を誘いますし、「16. End of Summer」での哀愁に満ちたリプライズも深い味わいがあります。

一方で、自転車レースを描写するに相応しい、踊るようなトラックも多くありますし、本編を見た人間には感慨深い「13. Campo」を収録しているところも、映画ファンを裏切らない作りで、全体的なバランスもよくできています。ともすれば、ニセモノの和製スペイン音楽を創ってしまうようなところも、きちんと解釈された、本多さんならでは音楽に昇華されているところも、好感がもてるところでしょう。

この作品は、本編にしてもサウンドトラックにしても、とにかく変に肩ひじを張らずに軽快に観たり聴いたりすることがベスト。あまりキャッチコピーや売り文句を気にすることなく素直に味わえば、決して期待を裏切るような作品ではないことは確かです。

これはイイですね！
比較的映画のストーリーの流れに沿って
曲が入っています。
映画の興奮と感動がよみがえります。

うれしかったのは、ぺぺの後姿を見送る
エルナンデスおじさんの渋い声で呟くように歌う
CAMPOという曲が車を走らせる音をバックに
キチンと入っていた事。
これはうれしかった。
清涼感と興奮と、哀愁に似た甘酸っぱさをこれ一枚で堪能できます。
素敵な一枚です。ぜひお勧め！

茄子／アンダルシアの夏、この映画は、47分と短い。しかし、観終わってみると、スペインの枯れた大地と抜けるような青空を行く主人公ぺぺと選手たちの攻防、そして、ぺぺをめぐるドラマの内容の濃さに驚く。たかが47分されど47分。このサントラに収められた曲たちは、この47分に彩を与えている。彩を与えられた映像は、それ以上に輝く。改めてそれを感じさせられた。
また、エンディングの忌野清志郎の曲も、自転車愛に満ちた彼らしい曲である。
