ブラックメタル界の皇帝、エンペラーの最初で最後のベストです。
エンペラーのＣＤはいろいろありますが、これを持っていれば
エンペラーを語れます。

ディスク１は、４枚のオリジナルアルバムと１枚のライブアルバムからの
ベストです。ディスク２は、カヴァー曲や初期のデモ音源なども聴けます。

初期のデモ音源は音がひどいですが、そこが聴きどころです。
これ１枚で、エンペラーというバンドの魅力を知ることができます。

ブラックメタル界の文字通り「闇の皇帝」と言われ続けている
EMPERORの２枚組みベスト盤

実は私はブラックメタル自体を最近聴き始めまして
EMPERORはこれが初めて購入したアルバムだったりです（＾＾；

聴いていて身震いする程の寒さと邪悪さ、底なしの闇を全身で感じる一方
随所に散りばめられている恐ろしくも美しいメロディが心の奥底まで染み入ります。

身を切り裂く様なギターリフ
地を這うベース音
キーボードの美しさ、そして魔神の如きドラム
魔力を秘めたVo.
全てに魂を奪われました(　▽|||)

また２枚目のＣＤには、MAYHEMなど他のバンドのカヴァーやデモ音源等、大変貴重な音源が収録されています。
１枚目２枚目共、大変聴き応えのあるアルバムだと思います。

私はこのベスト盤を聴いて、
彼らの全てのアルバムを買おうと決意致しました（^▽^）
ブラック初心者の私でも、EMPERORは素晴らしいバンドだと思いました。

ブラックメタルをこれから聴こうと思っている方やEMPERORをまだ聴いた事がない方に
是非お勧め致します！！

5.0 out of 5 stars これを聴かずしてブラックメタルは語れない, 2007/4/22
　サモスの逮捕、ファーストの殺人、脱退、ツォートのこそ泥(笑）、脱退などで一時解散の危機にあった彼ら。しかし、サモスを待ち続け、耐えたイーサーン。そして、ｄｓに今では神様的扱いとなったタリムをむかえ、最高傑作「Ａｎｔｈｅｍｓ　ｔｏ　ｔｈｅ　Ｗｅｌｋｉｎ　ａｔ　Ｄｕｓｋ」を完成させた。その作品は彼らのステイタスを上げた。
　その後、サモスとイーサーンの方向性の違いから解散してしまったが（２００７年一時再結成）その存在感は他を超越していた。
　そして発表されたこのベスト盤。
　不満をいえばもう少し３ｒｄ、４ｔｈからの曲も加えてほしかったが、代わりに外す曲が見当たらないほど、１ｓｔ、２ｎｄが充実していた、そんなことを改めて認識させられた。
　レアトラックはカバー曲、リミックスなどが収録。カバー曲は本人たちよりもうまいんじゃないかと思うほど。また、デモからのテイクはＭＡＹＨＥＭ、ＢＵＲＺＵＭ、ＧＯＲＧＯＲＯＴＨ並の絶叫ヴォイスも聴かれ、とてつもなく心地良いものだった。
　彼ら自身もそうだが、後期ブラックはうまく纏ってしまっていてつまらなかった。このベスト盤を聴くことでその気持ちがさらに高まった。ぜひ騒音鳴りっぱなしギターリフ、超絶ブラストビート、コープスプリント、暗黒シャウトを甦らせてほしいものだ。
