以前、発表されている｢テレビ・オリジナル・BGM・コレクション」の、コンプリート版とも言える作品。
おそらく、全曲を収録されていると思われ、前述のアルバムにも収められていない楽曲、テイク違いが、多々収められている。

オープニング、エンディングの楽曲の素晴らしさは、いうまでもないが、なんといっても、デビルマンの怪奇世界を描いた、恐怖を駆り立てる楽曲といったら、アレンジといい、数多存在するプログレ・バンドよりカッコイイ！

アニメのBGMなんて、と思うかもしれないが、実は、一流の演奏とアレンジがなされていて、特に７０年代辺りは、オルガンの音色なんかが、堪らなくカッコ良かったりするので、侮れない(主題歌の、間奏部のオーケストレーションなどは絶品！）。

本作は、リマスタリングされていて、音質も向上しているうえ(低音の迫力が増した他、分離も良くなっている）、詳細なライナーも有り、必聴盤！

以前の「デビルマン オリジナル BGM」買ってがっかり…嵐の様なティンパニが鳴り響く「緊迫曲」が欠けておりました(アルフォンヌが妖獣ジャコンに操られて車を飛ばすトコ等…後期デビルマン多数使用)やはり完全盤、disc2-18の2曲目に入ってました!やったー!!万歳です!

音楽、音質は申し分ないです!
しかし!!
ファンの方なら一発でわかりますが、ローカルVERSIONのオープニングの
デビルマンのうた
がTVで使用されたものと別物!
二番になるとエコーがかかり、歌ってる歌詞の十田敬三さんのアクセントが完全に違います。
何テイクあるうちの一つなのでしょうか?
大事な主題歌をキッチリ!チェックしてほしかった。
それと、レコード用フルサイズとは別に第三話
『妖獣ゲルゲ』
本編で流れたものは別テイクだとわかります。
これも探索してほしかった。
歌に関しては少し残念。
