　前作よりもメロディは明るい印象になりましたが、詞がますます痛いものになっていると感じました。でも、そうなったせいか余計に心に染み入りました。歌声が素晴らしいです。

英語詞の割合が格段に増えた今作。
聞けば聞くほど味わい深い歌が多く、しっとりとした声が時に激しく時に優しく、驚くほどの変化を遂げる。ここまで聴き応えのある歌も昨今では珍しいのではないだろうか。
ちなみにお気に入りは1、2、4、6、7。
前作より確実に進歩している。これからの発展も楽しみな歌い手だ。

「癒し」という言葉は流行言葉になっていて好きではないのですが、このアルバムには癒されてます。
彼女がどういう人なのか何の知識もなく、なんとなく出会ったCDですが今年一番ターンテーブルに乗せる機会が多かったと思います。

決して明るくない歌詞で曲調も沈み込むような物が多いのですが、彼女の声は非常に透明感がありそのバランスが見事です。曇りがちの空から覗く青空のようなすがすがしさを持っています。うまく表現できないけど、なんだろうなぁこの説得力は。。。そんな事で、私の中での2003年ベストアルバムです。

リッキー・リー・ジョーンズなんか好きな人は、聞いてみる事をオススメします。
