4.0 out of 5 stars 今となっては貴重な作品, 2005/2/21
ヤマト世代にとっては一見の価値ありの作品。ヤマト完結編以後の西崎監督原案による作品だが、当時はあまり話題にならなかったし、興行的には失敗だったと思う。だが、キャラクターデザインにイデオンの湖川氏を起用するなど作品としての完成度は高い。宮川泰・羽田健太郎による音楽も素晴らしい。宇宙を航海する船乗りのスピリットを描いており、戦闘色より冒険心をかきたてるそんな異例な作品に仕上がっている。原点回帰したシンプルなストーリーと質の良い映像音楽が一体となって、なんともいえない味わいをかもし出している。

途中で寝てしまった思い出がありますね。Ｎ氏があえてヤマトとの差別化を狙ったのかラストのカタルシスの失速ぶりが今では懐かしく思い出されます。
作画も音楽も○、ラウドネスの楽曲も悪くはありません。戦艦よりも強い帆船と言うのも‥‥ただ画面の厚みと言うかそれはいまのＯＶＡ紛いの劇場アニメよりもナイスです。
ちなみに公開時の併映は戦闘シーンだけをつなげたようなヤマト完結編でした、こっちは眠らなかったですけど。

「ラウドネス」で検索して釣れた（笑）

当時ただのガンダムマニアな中~高生だった私が
ハードロック/ヘヴィメタルという衝撃的な音楽と
出会うきっかけとなった映画でした。
全編英詩の"Gotta Fight"は未だにお気に入りです。
