７０年代の名盤の１つである「噂」のリマスター盤。７０年代のロックの名盤が次々とリマスター盤で再発されていく中で、本当に待ってましたという印象。しかし、１８曲の未発表曲を含む２枚組はファンにとっては嬉しい限り。
構成は１枚目がアルバムオリジナル収録曲。シングルのみ発売のSilver Springsも収録。２枚目が未発表のボーナストラック。こちらが興味深い。The ChainとI Don't Want To Know以外の別テイクが聞けます。アウトテイクになったThink About Itは後にスティーヴィーのソロアルバム「Bella Donna」に収録されました。聞き比べると面白いです。

ブックレットも充実してます。ライナー（当然英文ですが）も面白い。オリジナル１２曲の歌詞も掲載。印象的なアルバムジャケット写真の別バージョンも興味深い。
マックの噂のＬＰを買ってから２５年以上経っていますが、色褪せることなく、今でも全く古く感じない。
とにかく、おすすめです。

Fleetwood Macの全盛期における最高傑作がやっとリマスター化
内容については、今更述べることはありません。
アメリカのこの時点における最高のPop Musicが聞けますので、
聞いたことが無い方はぜひどうぞ。
ボーナスはアウトテイク・デモ等で正規版をなぞるというBOOTでよく
ある手法をとっている。非常に興味深いが情報が少なすぎ。
曲ごとの詳細な情報が付いていれば満点だったのに。

　1977年発表、全米で実に31週にわたって1位を保ったこのアルバムの制作過程は、メイキングのDVDが出ているため、その一端を垣間見ることができます。マック加入前からパートナー同士だったリンジーとスティーヴィーが別離し、さらに夫婦だったジョンとクリスティンが離婚と、メンバー5人の中に破綻したカップル2組が含まれているという背景があるせいか、耳あたりの良いポップスとして普通に聞き流せる一方で、歌詞の1行1行まで深読み可能な、二重の魅力が感じられます。　他のアーティストの名盤が続々とリマスターされていくなか、このアルバムだけ取り残されている感がありましたが、ここに来て、ようやくボーナストラック満載のリマスター化が実現され、喜ばしい限りです。もともと丁寧な仕事ぶりには定評有るライノ・レーベルですが、音質の向上だけでなく、Disc2に膨大な数のボーナストラックを収録と、今回も期待を裏切らない、素晴らしい仕上がりが期待されます。私個人としては、最近出たどの新譜よりも、このリマスター盤の到着を楽しみに待っています。
