ベルリン・フィル首席フルート奏者・パユとメトロポリタン歌劇場管ハープ奏者・安楽真理子が共演した夢の二重奏集。それぞれが親しんできた、フランス音楽と日本のメロディが収められている。

内容 (「CDジャーナル・レビュー」より)

日本でも大人気のベルリン・フィル首席フルーティスト、パユと、メットの専属ハーピスト安楽真理子の、これはなかなか心温まるデュオ・アルバムです。近代フランスの曲と、武満徹編曲のサティとオリジナル曲に続いて、日本の曲で締めくくられている。「春の海」などは、尺八独特の奏法である“ムラ息”などを取り入れたりしている。パユの音色は非常に透明で明快、ダイナミックだが、いい意味での軽みを持ち合わせてもいる。当然、作品によって変わるわけだけれど、それにしても、こういう音色を持った人がBPOのトップにいるわけで、BPOの音も変わったのだと、あらぬ感慨にふけったりしてしまった。話を戻してこのアルバムだが、とてもよく考えられていて、パユの多彩な音色や、弱音での安定感など、どこを取っても美しい。安楽のハープもぴたっと寄り添って、これがまたパユの音色とよく合っている。武満を入れるなど、単なる名曲集に終わらない、大人のアルバムになった。 (田中明) --- 2003年08月号

もともとハープとフルートの組み合わせって、平安な響きがして好きなのですが、上手い二人の組み合わせで言うことなし、といった感じ。パユのフルートがお目当てで買いましたが、ハープのほうの音も一音一音がきれいに響いていて美しいです。吹いて奏する楽器って、そろそろ吸わないと苦しいんじゃ・・・と、何故か余計な心配をして聞いてしまうのですが、パユの場合は息継ぎも上手いので、そういう変な心配をせずに聞けて楽しめます。ピアノでも好きなアラベスクや、シシリエンヌ、日本の曲は面白いけど、なくても良かったような気も・・・。ＣＣＣＤだけど、ＰＣでも、いつもの音楽ソフトで聞けました（？）。
