　ファーストの三部作を何度も観てしまう方にはたまらない作品でしょう。
私にとっても大切なＣＤの一つとなりました。

　何といっても、劇中に使用された曲が順番に出てくるところが素晴らしい。
あぁ、これはあの時の曲だ、そしてこれはあの場面だ･･･。頭のスクリーンで再度上映されるファーストの三部作。
　そしてここ！という所で流れる名曲「哀戦士」「めぐりあい」「ビギニング」･･･。
ジャブローを駆けるガンキャノンの姿が(カイさんの「もう泣かないぜ~」な台詞が好きなのです･･･)、エルメスのララァの叫びが、そして皆の待つランチへと向かうアムロの目に浮かぶ涙が、全てが名曲に伴って鮮明に蘇り、ふたたび目頭を熱くさせます。

　スレッガーさんのビグザム突撃時のBGMって意外と短めだったのですね･･･。でも充分シビレました。
　あと未発表曲収録のDISK4も見逃せません。劇中名曲のカラオケバージョンが入ってますから(笑)。口ずさんだら最後。また目頭が熱く･･･。
　4枚組はかなりのボリュームですが、流行りのMP3などにして持ち出せば、なんと通勤通学の電車の中で三部作が再上映(笑)。いい時代になりました･･･。

　いまこうして、この劇場３部作の音楽を時系列に聴いてみると、映画公開当時のさまざまな思い出がよみがえってきて、なかなか客観的なレビューとはならないかもしれませんが、ごく普通のファーストガンダムファンとしての感想をしたためます。

　まずはこれだけの規模の音楽を集大成してくれたことに感謝。未使用の音楽がこんなにたくさんある事にも驚きました。たぶん様々な理由で使われなかったのだろうけれども、素材は他の音楽と共通なので、まったく耳になじんでない音楽は１つも無く、今までの音楽の新しいバリエーションが増えたような感じで、ちょっと感動しました。

　使われた音楽は、私個人としてはＬＰレコードも全部聴いて、深くなじみのあるものばかり。ＣＤになって音楽の輪郭がシャー??になった曲が多く、非常に新鮮な気持ちで聴くことができました。そういう意味では、中年の諸氏にもう１度聴いていただきたい４枚組みかもしれません。

　劇場版の音楽は、テレビシリーズの素材をそのまま生かした音楽もありましたが、多くは作曲家の松山氏・渡辺氏が書き直したものがほとんど。当時、テレビシリーズの音楽に深く親しんだファンにとって、この「書き直し」は馴染めない場合が多く、賛否両論があったことを思い出しました。

　しかし２０年たって聴いてみると、書き直された音楽も、劇場用に新たに付け加えられた谷村・やしき・井上の３氏の主題歌も、今となっては古典中の古典となりました。特に砂塵を巻いて死闘を繰り広げた「哀・戦士」、冷たい虚無の宇宙で人と人のつながりを確信した「!めぐりあい宇宙」の音楽は実に素晴らしく、故井上大輔氏の壮麗かつノスタルジックな主題歌も華と涙を添え、改めて深い感動を覚えました。
　ていねいに作られた音楽集大成です。推薦します。

非常に思い出の多い『機動戦士ガンダム』の3本の映画…それで使用した、更に未使用のBGMをまとめた4枚組みBOX!!耳に残っているBGMは全部入っています!!!
これを聴きながら、数々の名場面を思い起こしてワクワクしています!!大変価値が高いものだと思います!!“1stガンダム”が好きな方は、絶対に損はしません!!私は万歳三唱してしまっています…
