   従来のどの戦闘機シミュレーションゲームよりも「リアリティ」を追求したホンモノ志向の意欲作との評判が印象的だった名作が、「PlayStation2 the Best」として手に入れやすい価格設定で登場。

   本作は、大空を戦闘機を駆って数々のミッションをクリアしていくフライトシミュレーションゲームだ。「プレイヤーは“戦闘機”ではなく、あくまで“パイロット”である」というコンセプトをベースに、機体の挙動やコックピットまわりの再現などにおいて、徹底的に「リアルさ」にこだわっているのが特徴である。世界的な航空機メーカー「ロッキード・マーチン社」提供の詳細データや、航空雑誌「航空ファン」によるゲーム設定の監修など、グラフィック、サウンド、ゲームの細かい部分にまでホンモノ志向が徹底されている。

   ゲームのメインとなる「ミッションモード」のほかにも、実機に近い設定で敵機と戦うことができる「ドッグファイトモード」など、ファンなら心躍ってしまうツボを突いたゲームモードがいくつも用意されている本作だが、計器の見方からなにまで教えてくれる「ライセンスモード」からゲームを始められるので、フライトゲーム初心者も安心して遊ぶことができる。（白毛 勇）

このエナジーエアフォースは、なんといってもほかのこのようなゲームよりもはるかにリアルだと思います！武器の数もかなり少なめだし、燃料切れがあるのもそうですよね。エースコンバットだと、ミサイルが多いと99発とか、機銃にいたっては無制限とかでしたので、敵機を落としまくりたい！という方はエースコンバットシリーズをお勧めします。
最後に、なんといってもこのゲームはリアルです！ただ、ライセンス等取らなきゃいけないので、そこらへんが大変なんじゃないかと思います。

エースコンバットシリーズでプレイしてきた人にとっては２作品でのギャップはあまりに大きかったものではないだろうか。このような人にとっては「リアル」さがむしろ、操作性が悪い、難しいといった考えを招く皮肉な結果となっているといえます。その他には、エースコンバット04などのような豊富なリプレイ機能がないのが残念。あるにはありますがミッションクリアの後に最初から最後までぶっ通しで再生されるのみ。長い！これではせっかくのこのゲームの売りである「リアル」が十分堪能しきれません。リアル過ぎるあまり、BGMはほとんど無し、ミサイルはなかなか回避できない。それと戦闘機の種類が３種類と少ない（F-15とかSu-37とか出して欲しかった）。しかし、リアル志向の人たちにとっては２つと無い良いゲームだと思いますよ。

最近、戦闘機ゲームに目覚めて、エースコンバット04を購入。

前面クリア出来、次なるモノとして本作を購入。

・・・うーん、むずかし過ぎる・・・

まず、ライセンスモード、、自由な筈の大空に、並んだループを宙返り
やら、ローリングやらで潜り抜ける試験・・・。俺には無理・・。

ループくぐりをクリアすると、当たり判定？がやたら厳しい着陸がまってる・・・。

単純そうなアーケードモードでさえ、敵機がやたら発見しずらく、苛立ちさえ覚える。

これがリアル感かも知れないが、機体の動きも融通がきかな過ぎ！操作性も疑問が残る。

ちょっと初心者にはお勧め出来ない感じ。飛行機マニアの方向けかな？

買って間もないけど、挫折しそうな位、キツイ。星３つ。
