この曲に初めて出会ったのは、小学生の頃。
シネマバージョンに出会ったのは、中学生の頃。
そして大学生になった今、再会。７月にはまた新しい顔のLove Somebodyとも出会うことになる。
踊る大捜査線、そしてこの曲は、私の青春とともにある。
聴いた瞬間に、卒業アルバムを見返した気持ちになったほど、
この曲は私に染み付いている。

本作品は『踊る…』のエンディングテーマ。
リアルタイムで社会に出たばかりの自分と『青島』がオーバーラップし、会社に入りそれまでの価値観を壊されていた頃を思い出します。

組織優先で善が報われない虚しさを共鳴出来、和久さんという素晴らしい大先輩に心を打たれました。

もちろん曲自体も、織田さんが気持ち良さそうに歌っているPVを見るたびに『俺も頑張るぞ!』と励まされまされた記憶があります。
もちろん今も聞いてます。

ベストアルバムが待ち遠しい。
