   ひとつのスタジオに半年間ひとりでこもり、「アコースティック・ギターと歌」というもっともシンプルな（そして、山崎にとってはもっともなじみのある）スタイルを追求した作品。いわゆる「弾き語り」の曲は1曲もなく、ドラム、ベース、鍵盤のほかにシーケンサーやシンセサイザーを導入したサウンドはいままで以上の広がりを感じさせるが、本作の核の部分には「人間は、基本的に孤独である」という事実がしっかり根付いていて、何よりもそれが胸を打つ。人間の根源を見据えることで生まれた、深い感動をもたらす音楽。（森 朋之）

ふらっ~っと視聴して、
思わずうるうるきて、購入した山崎まさよしさん初めての1枚です。

歌詞に使われている言葉、感情・情景描写に気取りがなくって、よくある私たちのありのままの日常風景が表現されていて、そしてメロディも妙な気負いがないために、すべてがすぅっと心の中にしみこんでいく感覚かな。　すべてが素直。

･･･どうして今まで彼の良さに気がつかなかったんだろう。
でも、今、気づいてよかった。　そんな一枚です。

誰しも自分の人生に対し、迷いが生じる時期がある。
その心の有り様をストレートに表現したのが、このＣＤだと思う。
そして、もつれ合う心、失って気付く人の優しさ、明日への希望といった様々な感情が、
ブルース、レゲエ、ボサノバなどのスタイルで表現されている。

山崎まさよしの独特の世界観で、男の人生がアトリエの１２枚の絵に凝縮されていると思う。

山崎さんのＣＤはどれも好きですが、
このＣＤは最高傑作では、と個人的に思っています。
このアルバムで何か彼は変わった気がします。
メロディが柔らかくなり、音ざわりがなんともやさしくなり・・。
一生きけるものでしょう！
